Gift Me

Gift me with the pen to document life
The life of yearning of hopes and yes even the strife
One that is yearning for love, for peace, and truth
Of prosperity of future and dreams too
Please bless me with grammar
Where all that might read
Understand, feel, and grasp
That one simple creed
To dream of such splendor
Of hope, promise, and life
To breathe in the blessed
And believe in ones heart
May tomorrow bring the bountiful
That lay in day’s wake
And night carries dreams
Where you may partake
In riches and wealth
Beyond items and things
Where with those that brings joy
A smile doest thou bring
