To Do

To face the truth about myself
To know the good and bad
To go where hearts desire
To see the lighted path

To say the fears to myself
To talk them all out loud
To walk away from hurtful things
To watch without a sound

To accept the shadows of the night
To touch the face of love
To look at life with eyes of light
To know the truth above

To realize the life in me
To anticipate the life in you
To consider those lives as one
To trust that love so true

These all too great for one to know
Without the love of one great soul
The heart in you – the heart in me
Creating one great entity

How blessed in life
To know true love
My friend, companion – my only love
These all above have journeyed far
To reach the eyes that shine like stars
Each day I pray that wonder will show
When amazement and love and appreciation will glow
For you and I now together meet
No longer as two but One Soul indeed
